BLESSED SACRAMENT PARISH
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
Why Become a Knight?
Knights are committed to making the world a better place for everyone to live in. Our main objective as Catholic men, is to live the ways of Christ. You too, can help demonstrate how a good Christian should follow Christ’s teachings.
Key Drivers for Knights
As Knights, our faith is our foundation. We support religious outreach and support and promote religious vocations.
Knights participate in drives to help troubled youth. Knights raise money for individuals who are mentally challenged with our annual Tootsie Roll drive.Knights support Special Olympics.
Serving families is what we do. We provide assistance and support when and where needed.A main mission is to take care of the widow and the orphan.
We conduct youth based programs such as the Knights of Columbus Basketball Free Throw Championship. We support other actives such Youth outreach retreats.
To be a Knight means to believe in each other as we believe in ourselves.Councils hold activities that foster fraternal bonds between members.Much of our fraternal activity involves the members doing things to support the parish or some other charitable work for our community or those who are identified to be in need.A favorite of members is to cut firewood in the fall to help those who need wood to heat their homes in winter.
Blessed Sacrament council
The council was charteredin 2004 with 35 members and has grown to about 80 members. We are a Parish based council. This means our mission puts its special emphasis on strongly supportingour parish and priests in any way we can.
