Love Your Neighbor Walk
Saturday, October 10 at 1:00pm
The Lord is all creation, and all people in it. We are part of this wondrous creation, the Body of Christ, and placed here by God to continue to do the work of Jesus. Jesus’ instruction was “Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.” A number of us have decided to step out of our comfort zone and gather for a silent march and prayer, thus creating a way to boldly share our witness of Christ’s message to a hurting community. We have to remind ourselves that all our neighbors are beloved children of God, so our theme is “Love Your Neighbor”.
Our plan is to gather in the parking lot of Blessed Sacrament Church and take our silent prayer walk, returning to the parking lot for a closing prayer and blessing. That’s it! We are asking people from Blessed Sacrament, St. Brigid and Assumption to join us on Saturday afternoon, October 10th, at 1:00 p.m. for our peaceful prayer gathering. We are hoping for people from all walks of life to come together in LOVE. Bishop Ken Untener once said, “We should be the strangest collection of people who can come together that the world has ever seen, even though we can’t change all the social patterns around us”. Let’s embrace our faith and “walk the talk”. Please join us in this spiritual path of Joy!
