Stewardship is a one-word summary of the Christian way of life.
A Message from Fr. Rob
Little Burgundy Books
Stewardship is not something that we do, but rather, it is a way of life. It is an important part of our spiritual life. This November, you are invited to move more deeply in the spiritual life of stewardship using the Little Burgundy Book.
Receive daily emails with reflections on being a good steward. If you receive the daily little book email for Advent/Christmas, Lent, and Easter then there is no need to sign up. These daily reflections will arrive at 6:00am.
Listen to the daily audio reflections. These reflections are released each day and allow you to listen in the car, in the house, or on the go. Be sure to subscribe using your favorite podcast app!
Parish Stewardship: Time, Talent, & Treasure
You’ve heard the saying It takes a village? This saying is especially true in the Church. God has blessed each of us with gifts and talents that are meant to be used for the service of God and others! Please consider filling out the time and talent survey to see how your gifts, talents, and interests might help the work of the Church! The form can be filled out for each member of the family, even the kiddos!
Your financial pledge supports the life of the parish from liturgy to faith formation to giving back to the Midland community and beyond. Did you know that Blessed Sacrament also practices good stewardship? The parish tithes 10% of our income through Christian funding grants, emergency assistance, and in instances of natural disasters. Please consider making a pledge to support the parish!
Christ’s Mission Appeal
Annually, every parish receives an “assessment” from the Diocese indicating the amount of the total goal of the appeal that the parish is responsible to raise. The assessments are based on several factors such as numbers of parishioners and demographics within the parish boundaries. While individual parish assessments fluctuate year-to-year, the overall goal of Christ’s Mission Appeal (formerly Catholic Services Appeal – CSA) has not changed in 14 years.
Our assessment here at Blessed Sacrament Parish is: $236,595. This is 15% greater than our assessment for the previous Christ’s Mission Appeal. Please prayerfully consider making a donation or pledge.
