Advent Morning of Reflection & Prayer

Advent is a Time of Waiting BUT What Are We Really Waiting For?

The month of December is a busy one in our families, our workplaces, and the world around us. If nothing else, the pandemic times have taught us that there is more to life than busyness. During these past eighteen months, we have experienced waiting in many ways and the church reminds us that Advent, too, is a time of waiting. BUT what are we really waiting for? Perhaps, it’s not for what we’ve thought all along.

The Parishes of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Blessed Sacrament invite you to join Sr. Janet Schaeffler, OP on Saturday, December 4 from 9:00-2:00 as she leads us on an Advent retreat. Assumption Parish will be hosting our time together. Sr. Janet will provide opportunities to support our Advent journey through reflective input, prayer, music, quiet time and conversations as we look at this season from a new perspective. One that might shed a different light, offer additional meanings, and provide us with memorable celebrations for the season. Register here or by contacting the Parish Office.
