On September 25, parishioners of all ages, from babies to grandparents, came together for our first Parish Family Fun Night of the year–our Encanto movie night! Encanto is a lovely Disney movie all about being home to one another and celebrating and encouraging our gifts. It was the perfect fit for our “We’re Home” theme for this year!
Along with the movie, we enjoyed a taco bar and delicious brownies. We crafted houses where every person in the family had a door that they decorated with their gifts. A battery-operated candle inside the house makes our gifts shine out like stained glass! Every family made a commitment to use their gifts for a specific purpose in the coming weeks, and they took home a prayer candle with a butterfly flying off the top to symbolize their gifts flying out into the world!
If you loved Encanto night, don’t miss our next Parish Family Fun Night! Everyone is invited to our annual Trunk or Treat in the parking lot on October 29 after 4:00 Mass. Whether you want to decorate your trunk, dress up and collect treats, or just wander over after Mass to check out the creative trunks and super-cute kids, mark your calendar for this event!
