Small Group Book Study: “My Name is Ken and I Will Be Your Waiter for a Long, Long Time”

This fall, we invite you to join a small faith community to read and reflect on the words of Bishop Ken Untener—a beloved shepherd of the Saginaw Diocese for nearly 25 years. His book, My Name is Ken and I Will Be Your Waiter for a Long, Long Time, gathers his meditations, reflections, and homilies into an inspiring collection that speaks to the heart of the Gospel.
About the Book
Bishop Ken Untener tells the story of his life through the homilies he preached, organized into eight thematic sections. Each homily, ranging from one to four pages, draws on personal experiences, Scripture, and deep faith.
He had a gift for speaking truth with love, often challenging his listeners to think deeply and live faithfully. His reflections continue to encourage discipleship, humility, and compassion.
