Faith & Science

Faith and Science Event at the Bay City Planetarium // June 14

We’ve booked a private showing of a show called “From Earth to the Universe” at the Bay City Planetarium to explore the beauty and vastness of God’s creation, and we’re inviting our current and soon-to-be middle schoolers! After the show, we’ll come back to Blessed Sacrament, where Lyn Pajk, our awesome Director of Faith Formation and former science teacher will be leading a discussion and activities about how we as Catholics view the relationship between faith and science. It’s going to be a lot of fun!

Here are all the details:

Date: June 14
Time: 11:30 AM-3:00 PM (meet and pick up at Blessed Sacrament)
Cost: $3 per student

Current fifth graders and current middle schoolers are invited to attend! Students can bring friends who are not members of our Catholic parishes, but they do still need to have a permission slip filled out.

We will meet at Blessed Sacrament at 11:30 AM and drive the group over to the Planetarium. The show lasts one hour. We’ll come back to Blessed Sacrament afterward for some activities, snacks, and discussion. Parents can pick their
kids up at 3:00 PM from Blessed Sacrament.

Drivers/chaperones may be needed depending on how many students sign up. Please let me know if you would be interested in being a driver! Chaperones are free! You can sign up as a chaperone on the form or by emailing Christine Sellnow.
