The Liturgy of the Word comes after the Introductory Rites at Mass and includes the readings, the Homily, the Creed, and the Prayer of the Faithful. Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) takes the same components and interprets them into child-friendly language and themes. The goal is for the children to “graduate” into Mass with an understanding of both the Sunday gospel and the underlying structure of the Mass.
CLOW Calendar
Children’s Liturgy of the Word will be held in the church vestibules of the Ashman entrance during 11:00 Mass. Children will be dismissed at the beginning of the Liturgy of the Word and will split into Preschool-Second Grade and Third Grade-Fifth Grade groups.
