Welcome to Our New Youth Minister: Bob Klinar
Let’s allow Bob to introduce himself!
Hello Friends in Faith!
My name is Bob Klinar, and I am honored and grateful to serve as the Coordinator of Middle School Youth Ministry at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Before answering God’s call to parish ministry, I spent 35 years in education in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area as a teacher, football coach, and school principal. Throughout my career, I embraced one guiding philosophy: always do what’s best for kids. That commitment continues to shape who I am today. I believe every young person has unique gifts, and my goal is to meet students where they are, encourage them, and help them recognize God’s presence in their lives.
In addition to my career in education, I am an artist with multiple higher education degrees in Studio Art. Creativity has always been an important part of my life, and I enjoy finding ways to connect faith, imagination, and personal expression. I also continue my love of coaching as a member of the football coaching staff at Midland High School, where I have the privilege of mentoring student-athletes on and off the field.
On a personal note, I recently moved to Midland and married my beautiful wife, Jennifer. I am the proud father of three amazing children and the grateful grandfather of two beautiful granddaughters, who remind me daily of God’s blessings and the joy found in family.
Middle school is an exciting and transformative time in a young person’s life. It is a season filled with questions, growth, discovery, and opportunities to deepen one’s relationship with Christ. My hope is to create a welcoming environment where every student knows they are seen, valued, and deeply loved by God. Through prayer, fellowship, service, fun, and authentic conversations, I want our youth ministry to be a place where faith is not only learned but lived.
I also believe parents are the primary educators of their children in the faith, and I look forward to partnering with families as we journey together in helping our young people become lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ.
One verse that has guided me throughout my life is Psalm 51:10:
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me.”
This prayer reminds me each day that effective ministry begins with a heart open to God’s grace and a spirit willing to serve others with humility, compassion, and joy.
I am truly excited to become part of the Blessed Sacrament family and look forward to getting to know each of our middle school students and their families. My prayer is that together we will build a vibrant ministry where every young person feels welcomed, encouraged, challenged to grow in faith, and inspired to become the person God created them to be.
“Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.” — 1 Timothy 4:12
I sincerely hope that your student will attend our “BACK TO SCHOOL BASH” at Valley Lanes on August 20th from 2:15 – 4:30, so I can say hello and chat about all the exciting plans in the future.
