Bio:
Bob Klinar is new to Midland, Michigan upon relocating this past June of 2026, in order to marry the “love of his life,” Jennifer. He has spent his career in the field of education (as a teacher, coach and school principal) for the past 35 years. Most of his experiences have been in the Greater Cleveland area. Bob grew up in the “Steel City” of Lorain, Ohio – a melting pot of European & Puerto Rican cultures. As a younger person, he achieved athletic success on the gridiron and thus used these gifts to continue his playing career collegiately at the University of Mount Union (in Alliance, Ohio – near the Professional Football Hall of Fame). There, Bob was a two-year varsity letterman on 2 undefeated teams, helping springboard the Mount Union Football Program into a national powerhouse. He continued his love for the game by coaching at both the collegiate and scholastic levels prior to becoming a high school principal. He currently serves on the Varsity Football Coaching Staff at Midland High School.
Bob holds three higher education degrees in Studio Art and Educational Leadership from Miami (OH) University, University of Mount Union, and Bowling Green State University.
Bob has 3 adult children and 2 granddaughters – all residing in the Cleveland/Akron area.
Bob considers himself a “Warrior for Christ,” and his perpetual thirst for continuing to grow in his faith is evident in his work with the spiritual edification of young people.
